Former College Wrestler Infected Male Partners With HIV


Michael L. Johnson, 23, of St. Charles, Missouri also a former college wrestler was sentenced to 30 years behind bars on Monday for knowingly infecting one of his male sexual partner with HIV and putting four other men at risk. He was convicted in May on one count of recklessly infecting another with HIV, and four counts of recklessly risking infection of another with HIV.

On Monday, the St. Charles County Circuit Judge Jon Cunningham told Johnson during the sentencing phase that he had committed a'very severe' crimes by not telling his sexual partners that he has HIV, the same virus that causes AIDS.
