"Drake" Held On Cocaine Bust At JFK



Back again with the drug smuggling.






A Jamaican woman was arrested by US customs at the John F. Kennedy Airport after she was caught trying to smuggle three pounds of cocaine hidden in two bags of Jablum coffee inside her suitcase on Wednesday. 


The woman was indentified has Sharese Lee Ann Drake, 27. She arrived at JFK Airport from Montego Bay, Jamaica on Wednesday. 

When Customs and Border Protection police officers searched her suitcase they found a plastic coffee bag containing white powder, according to officials.

She was taken to a private search room, where the officers found a second bag full of powder. Both tested positive for cocaine which is estimated to be more than $50,000. 

Drake was arrested and handed off to Port Authority police. She will be prosecuted by the Queens District Attorney on drug smuggling charges.

Drake is being held on Rikers Island on $50,000 bail.
