Cops Sentenced For Corruption


Two Jamaican police officers was sentenced to prison  after their latest appeal was rejected. 

Both Sergeant Patrick Williams and Constable Roger Forrester were arrested on corruption charges.  
    
Forrester was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 18 months in prison. He was arrested for collecting $30,000 to dismiss a criminal case in the Montego Bay Criminal Court. He was held during a sting operation by members of the Anti-Corruption Branch while collecting the money in the car park of the court.
    
He appeal the cases and his sentenced was reduced to 12 months. 
    
Williams on the other end was caught in 2008 after he was seen collecting money in a traffic case he was also sentenced to 12 months behind bars.
