Cop Arrested For Robbery, Granted Bail


A Police Constable accused of being invoked in a string of armed robberies in sections of Linstead, St Catherine has been released on bail.

The Constable was identified has Andrew Ferron. He is attached to the Linstead Police Station. He was offered bail in the sum of $150,000 and ordered to surrender his travel documents when he appeared in the Gun Court last Friday.
Ferron is charged with illegal possession of firearm and robbery with aggravation.
During the robbery the mask worn by one of the men fell off during the robbery.
When the residents went to the Linstead Police Station to report the incident they saw Ferron dressed in a shirt similar to one worn by one of the robbers.
He was taken into custody and later pointed out during an identification parade.
